A WORKFLOW YOU CAN INSPECT

The request arrived. Who takes it next?

Give a structured quote request a record, an owner and a visible next action. Start with the handoff before changing how your team prices or sells.

Follow one request through the handoff

Interactive example with fictional data. It runs in your browser, without account access or real messages. It uses fixed rules, not an AI agent.

  1. 01

    Receive

A request arrives with agreed fields: company, contact, item, quantity and requested date.

  2. 02

    Record

The source ID identifies the request. The record keeps its owner, next action and notification state.

  3. 03

    Review

The owner checks missing details, capacity and price before replying to the customer.

Try the exceptions too

  • Run the same request twice: inspect whether a second record appears.
  • Remove the quantity: inspect the reason it needs correction.
  • Select an uncertain send: inspect why automatic resending stops for review.
DESIGN PRINCIPLE

A useful foundation for work with agents

Keep the record and controls independent of who proposes the next action. If free-form requests later need interpretation, an AI-assisted extension can be assessed separately.

Possible assistance
Extract candidate details or draft a response, with a way to inspect the source. These capabilities are not part of this demo.
Explicit authority
A person approves prices, availability and commitments. Tool access and permitted actions must be scoped before adding an agent.
Controlled recovery
Keep a source ID, execution state and a review path. An uncertain action should not silently become an automatic retry.

A small, defined workflow — subject to review

Essential Automation Setup can cover one predefined workflow, up to two connected tools and at most one simple branch. This example uses Gmail and Sheets; compatibility with your accounts is checked before purchase.

Bring one anonymized request format, the two tools, the responsible role and the next action. Access and test data must be ready for implementation.

No autonomous agents, free-form email interpretation or customer quote generation are included. The example does not establish savings, sales or delivery to a real recipient.
